Dr. David M. Farmani practices Tax, Business, Family
and Criminal law. He also provides services in
Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Corporate and
Commercial Contracts, Will and Estate including the
litigation matters.
Dr. Farmani completed his Bachelor and Master of
Science at University of Alabama with outstanding
thesis awards from the Kellogg Foundation and AIChE
Education for Excellence in 1986. He received his PhD
in Psychology prior to attending law school in 1992
and completed his JD (magna cum laude) at University
of Alabama Law School in 1995.

He was admitted to the Alabama Bar in April of 1996 and California
Bar the following year. Dr. Farmani has completed his
post-graduate research (LLM in Tax Law) at Osgoode Hall, York
University,
prior to private practice.
Dr.
Farmani worked at Alabama and California District Attorney Office,
Criminal and Family Divisions in the USA and the Ministry of Attorney
General of Ontario, Crown's Office in
Waterloo and Toronto.
He has
appeared before all levels of court in Georgia, California, US Federal
Court, Ontario and the federal court trial division.
He is a
member of the Canadian Bar Association, Law Society of Upper Canada,
Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, York Region Bar Association, Canadian
Tax Foundation, Ontario Family Law Centre, Ontario Family Mediation,
American Bar Association and American Trial Lawyers Association.
In September 2005, Dr. Farmani was appointed to the Council of College of
Physicians and Surgeons by the Minister of Health, the Honourable George
Smitherman and he sits on its Disciplinary and Registration Committees and
its Board of Inquiry.
Dr.
Farmani is an accomplished and an avid runner who was member of the 1979
All-American Running Team representing University of Alabama at World
Universities Competition and won a team silver medal in Stockholm, Sweden
in 1979.
